You want deep training—without flipping your life upside down.
Maybe you’ve been practicing for a while now. You’ve felt the nudge to share yoga with others, but you know you need a path that works with your schedule and bandwidth. Some students thrive in immersive travel-based formats—like our hybrid destination YTT in Dominica. Others want to stay rooted in their home life and community, learning slowly and steadily over time.
That’s why we have offered this Carrboro and Chapel Hill–based YTT since 2011. It’s a sustainable, in-person, weekend-based experience designed to support both your growth and your commitments. No flights, no sabbaticals—just consistent, grounded, hands-on learning guided by seasoned mentors.
Over seven thoughtfully structured weekends, you’ll build confidence, gain practical tools, and experience steady progress alongside a supportive community. This program is designed for people like you—people who are serious about deepening their understanding of yoga, who want to teach responsibly and authentically, and who want to stay grounded in their everyday lives while doing it.
We’ve helped hundreds of students step into their voices as teachers without leaving behind their families, jobs, or lives. If you’re ready to grow, we’re ready to welcome you.

Maybe you’ve been telling yourself, “I’d love to do yoga teacher training someday—when I’m calmer, fitter, more focused, more . . . ready.”
We hear this all the time.
You want to feel like the kind of person who does yoga teacher training. But right now, you’re juggling a full life—work, caregiving, relationships, commitments—and trying to deepen your practice in the pockets of space you can find.
This isn’t about waiting for a perfect version of yourself to appear. It’s about beginning where you are—with support, structure, and community.
And yes, maybe you’ve:
- Felt overwhelmed by intensive or travel-based trainings that don’t match your current bandwidth
- Looked at suspiciously cheap online-only programs and worried you’d feel isolated or unsupported
- Wondered if you’re really “ready” to take the leap
Here’s the truth: You already belong here. You’re ready. And we built this program with exactly that in mind—a bridge between your real life and your growth as a teacher. You deserve a training that honors both.

The Carrboro Yoga 200-hour yoga teacher training is built to support your real life and your growth.
We meet on thoughtfully spaced weekends—just enough time to stay immersed, but with breathing room to absorb, reflect, and integrate what you’re learning. You’ll receive hands-on feedback, learn alongside a steady group of peers, and grow week by week into the teacher you want to be.
